Worn thin.

Don't know how else to explain my current state of mind. My husband travels a fair amount for his job, but this particular trip has been tougher than usual. I think that's mainly due to the impending move (and all the work we've already been doing in preparation) - we were all worn pretty thin before he flew out, and we're really missing Daddy.

This afternoon we were headed to the library, when all of a sudden I realized that our son was crying in the backseat. Whoa! He then told me that he's really going to miss all his friends, and he doesn't want to make new ones.

Both kids are having some serious disobedience issues, and I know that I've let some things slide and am now trying to rein them back in (always fun ;) And the reining-in process has occasionally entailed more yelling than necessary.

I'm sick of keeping the house immaculate, and wish I could choose meals without thinking about the "slop" factor. And that I wouldn't have to clean the bathroom multiple times each day.

Oh, and have I mentioned that I miss my hubby? Our bed is too big, and the house is too quiet.

Please continue to pray for our family - not only that this house would sell quickly, but that we can get through these next few months without major emotional meltdowns.

And now I'm off to get some sleep... because somehow, that makes everything better!

We wait in hope for the LORD; He is our help and our shield.
In Him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in His holy name.
May Your unfailing love rest upon us, O LORD, even as we put our hope in You.
Psalm 33:20-22

I feel your pain! And cleaning the bathroom that much is enough to drive anyone insane!!! I'm praying for you.

I've been praying for you, cause I know what you're going thru. We moved 6 times. It's not easy, but you will live through it. My kids admit now that moving around had a lot of positives. They have friends in a lot of places now, among other reasons. YOU WILL SURVIVE! and THRIVE! hang in there...

"...for I have learned in whatever "state" I am, to be content..." ;)
