Another week...

Another weekend has come and gone. Hubby mowed the yard, we took down the pool (we've been fighting algae, plus it had been so chilly that the water temp had taken a major nosedive), I did some more sorting and purging and even squeezed in a very cool stamping project (but it can't be shared yet!) I was fighting a headache again, so stayed home from church yesterday. Definitely missed it.

Hubby and I have a date night this evening. We're going to dinner (hooray for coupons!) but still aren't sure what we'll do afterwards. Perhaps dream of home improvement projects at the orange warehouse?

And last but not least, I'm trying to figure out what to do with my hair. I'm way overdue for a haircut, plus I'm sick of my current style. I've been wearing it virtually the same way for over a decade. But I don't want something that requires 20 minutes to create each morning, either. So what's a found-faced girl with a super high forehead and wavy hair to do? (Oh, and short hair is out of the question. My hair grows too fast and I don't want to be getting it cut every six weeks). I've been considering something like this - more layery and hopefully easy to maintain. Not quite this wispy, though. Any hair gurus want to offer suggestions?

not a hair guru, but I think that's cute. it's looks easy enough to take care of. Will you have to get the layers cut often?

I'm hoping that I could get by with getting it cut every three months or so - after all, the layers will grow out at the same rate, right? ;) I'm definitely going to be chatting with the lady that does my hair and get her input, too. Thankfully my hair does grow really fast, so even if I hate it I can change it again pretty quickly.

I'd think that style might require a straightening iron - that might take some time. However, I hear a good one is worth the investment ($100) - and takes way less time! You will have to post pictures!!

My cut I can go about 8 weeks and then I get frustrated and head back. I start looking the dreaded "frumpy"!

I know it would definitely look different on me - I would *NOT* be straightening it (with an iron or by blowdrying it). I have less wave on top, though, so I think it still might work. This would just be a general starting point. We'll see what happens!!

I think that style would be cute with a little more curl, if that's what you have naturally. I have very fine hair and a few years ago I looked up an age appropriate ;-) hair style and came up with one cut straight across that has worked the best for me.
